How to live a peaceful life

I have spent so much of my life hating my body, not feeling good enough and punishing myself with excessive exercise and negative mind talk.  I have starved myself, binged, purged and abused myself.  I have in recent years healed a great deal and had moments of liking me.  I am sure there are many of you that have had similar experiences.  I guess I am writing this to let you know that it is okay and you can get better.  I have come a long way and released most of the emotional baggage I decided to carry with me for years (even though I did not intentionally do this!)  You have to understand that most of our behaviours and belief systems are developed when we are young and innocent.  A five year old does not understand that their father’s violent behaviour is not their fault, or that when parents ignore you and you do not feel important to them, that it is just that they are busy and stressed.  Even abuse: be it physical, sexual or emotional is not our fault but we spend our entire lives feeling guilty, hurt, and angry and the lists go on.  We punish ourselves for the behaviours of others and in so doing give others power over us. 

I am here to say that you can change your belief systems and learned behaviours.  When we feel pain or hurt in most cases we are experiencing past hurt and reliving it over and over again.  Our brain does not know the difference between a memory and what is happening now.  If we do not choose how to respond each time something happens we will continue to respond how we have in the past.  The more you stop and say to yourself how am I going to react to this person or situation you create a new pathway in your brain.  Eventually, there will be so many pathways that old habits and thought processes will not exist.

How do you do this?  It is a simple process, not necessarily easy.  We have no control over others or certain aspects of life however, we have control of our thoughts and how we respond.  Every day you have to take control of you and your thoughts.  Sounds easy enough right? Yes and no.  If a thought (whether it has a real basis or not) creates an emotion, it will feel real to us.  For example, a person wrongs you in a dream, you know it is not real but you still feel upset with that person.  In real life it is harder to determine fact or fiction.  For example, your partner seems distance and terse when asked a question in the morning, all day you beat yourself up over what you did to upset them, only to find out they were stressed about a work situation and it had nothing to do with you!!!! 

Here is my guide to living peacefully:

  1. Take control over your thoughts and reactions.  Ask yourself is what you are thinking has a real foundation or are you reacting from past issues?  You are in control of your life, what you think you create!!!!!!
  2. Be kind to yourself.  Would you speak to anyone the way you talk to yourself?  If you do not love you, how can you love others fully!  Every time you notice self criticism replace with a positive thought.  The more you do this the natural it becomes.  Remember you are unique and amazing!!!
  3. Let go of all that is holding you back.  Forgive those who have hurt you, let them go.  Remember to forgive yourself too!!!!
  4. Honour your emotions.  If you feel sad or angry, allow yourself to feel it, accept the emotion, where is it coming from and give yourself permission to feel this way.  Only then can you let it go.  Pent up emotions cause pain and disease.
  5. Live each day with passion.  This life is a blessing.  We have a body that can feel and taste and think!!  How awesome is that?  Eat slowly enjoy your food, feel the sun on your skin and the breeze touch your face.  Hug, laugh, dance and love deeply.
Remember life is short don’t waste it!!!  Let go and live!!!

Preventing and Rising Above Cancer

The following is a basic plan to help stay healthy and survive disease such as cancer.

1. Take an active role in healing:
It is your body and life and as such it is up to you to look after it. Be proactive. Educate yourself and take control. 

2. Give the body the highest form of Nutrition (organic)
It is important to get your body alkaline (a ph level of a minimum of 7.3 but 7.5 is optimal).  Eating a diet that alkalises your body is vital.  
Lots of juicing, a mix of lots of greens, beetroot, celery, wheatgrass and add some carrot, apple or citrus to sweeten the juice. Grasses and greens are high in chlorphyll which acts as a cleanser and blood builder.  Add some barley grass, Chlorella and spirulina either in powder or tablet form to increase enzymes in your diet. Enzymes are important in your diet. Enzymes help with metabolic and digestive needs of the body.  Enzymes are obtained from raw foods, sprouting and by supplements.  Remember heat kills enzymes. There is a type of enzyme called  Proteolytic Enzymes.  These enzymes are protein dissolving enzymes.  When taken between meals, they dissolve the protective fibrin coating around cancer cells, thus allowing the immune system to detect them and destroy them.  Drink herbal teas, there are so many beneficial teas for example green tea, olive leaf, peppermint, lemongrass, rosemary to name a few.  The addition of honey is acceptable.Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.
Power Foods:
Spirulina and chlorella
Bee pollen
Tumeric
Chia Seeds
Whole oats
Apricot Kernels
Hemp Seeds and protein
Goji Berries
Kelp and Dulse 

3. Remove : toxins, parasites, candida
No: White refined sugars and flour, hydrogenated oils, rancid fats, msg, processed foods, preservatives, pesticides, toxic chemicals, negative or toxic thoughts.No smoking.
Rid the body of all toxins placed on the skin.  Therefore no parabens, isopropyl alcohol, sodium Laurel sulfate to name a few.  Throw out all the nasty chemicals and products in your house go natural!!!!
Rid the body of parasites.  There are products that rid the digestive system of parasites, it is vital to do this.  Ensure that you have a healthy digestive system by taking probiotics (good bacteria) regularly.  Having good levels of fibre and water.  Every time you eat your body should be eliminating previous waste, if you are not eliminating waste after each meal it is an indication that your digestive system is not in tiptop condition. 
 Avoid coffee, tea, alcohol and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

4. Build the immune system 
Oxygenate the body
Diet, exercise, breathing exercises, adequate sleep, let go of stress.
Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

5. Kill cancer cells
Cancerous cells are always being created in the body. There are parts of your immune system are designed to seek out and destroy cancer cells.

Cancer has been around as long as mankind, but only in the second half of the 20th century did the number of cancer cases explode. Contributing to this explosion are the excessive amounts of toxins and pollutants we are exposed to, high stress lifestyles that zap the immune system, poor quality junk food that's full of pesticides, irradiated and now genetically modified, pathogens, electromagnetic stress, lights, and just about everything that wasn't here 200 years ago. 

All these weaken the immune system, and alter the internal environment in the body to an environment that promotes the growth of cancer.  Cancer tumours begin when more cancerous cells are being created than an overworked, depleted immune system can destroy.

Because of this stress and the overload of toxins, you end up with a malfunctioning immune system, and a body that is not capable of destroying the excessive numbers of cancerous cells that develop. Some, sooner or later, survive and multiply. And then you have cancer. Of course, our diets loaded with sugar and refined carbohydrates don't help. Refined carbohydrates digest so fast they act like sugar, and cancer cells love sugar.

Overcoming cancer is a process of reversing the conditions that allowed the cancer to develop, and going after and killing cancerous cells.

When fighting a cancer, you are always more likely to succeed if you fight it in several different ways. Many many people have got rid of cancer using one or two products only, but some people have a tougher cancer or are in poorer health and must do much more to be successful.
